Hardwell Goes Off On DJ Mag In New Rant
For the third time in a row Hardwellís successful label-night returned to the Heineken Music Hall as part of AMF. To celebrate the anniversary, AMF gave him his own entire night to showcase his chart topper label, Revealed Recordings. The heart of the Hardwell's labels music is here on our site.
During this party a few days ago, former #1 DJ Hardwell blew up on an epic rant against the reporting that once gave him that #1 title. DJ Mag is used to conflict when it comes to the ill-famed Top 100 DJs list, an annual ranking of dance musicís greatest stars that is a ceaseless point of controversy among fans and industry members alike. With this yearís edition of the top 100 having just been issued, itís no surprise to see a big league producer criticizing the list, though we wouldnít have supposed it would be Hardwell.
During the rant, Hardwell said that some of the artists on his Revealed Recordings roll would never ďget the chance to play the big festivalsĒ because they arenít on the list, touching upon the sumption that the Top 100 DJs poll has an extremely bad effect for some musicians.
The dj in question is Atmozfears, with Hardwell stating that he believes the Hardstyle producer is more skilled than himself. He also expresses disillusionment that his other partners, Dannic and Dyro, hardly even charted, being at 70 and 93 positions on the list.
Itís somewhat sudden to hear HardwellĎs animadversion of DJ Mag considering his continually high rankings on the TÓp 100 list, but itís gÓÓd tÓ see him use his influence tÓ try and help up and cÓming artists.
