Avicii is Googles 2nd Top Search Result in 2018 + bonus Flag video

On April 20th, earlier this year, the electronic dance music world was stunned and devastated to hear that arguably dance musics biggest and most talented artist of current times passed away.To get an idea of the magnitude Swedish music producer Avicii had not only on the electronic dance music scene but globally around the world, the late DJ was the second most searched for topic in the world for 2018. According to Google, the internets biggest search engine, the Swede ranked behind the most searched topic which was this summers World Cup action.

Googles topic searches among Avicii included the unfortunate passings of talented artist Mac Miller and comic hero Stan Lee who only just last month passed away. In fact, 7 of the top 10 news searches in 2018 were centred on the passings of world icons including Steven Hawking, Kate Spade, and Anthony Bourdain. The top trending searches this year also include The Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Megan Markle, debut Marvel film Black Panther, Hurricane Florence, and the results of a Mega Millions lottery.

The 2018 edition of Tomorrowland also gave their tribute to Avicii. Festival goers were able to lay their eyes on a huge Swedish coloured flag that depicted the protrait of shining EDM star Tossed high and stretched among crowd revellers to peer on, it was certainly a unquie sight.
The flag has now surfaced again. This time the piece of electronic history is up for sale on Ebay with all the proceeds heading for a chartiy called Suicide Zero. The memory flag has also been signed by a number of DJs inclduing Steve Angello, Dada Life, Armin van Buuren, and many more.
