Paul Van Dyk shares classic essential mix from in 1999

Paul van Dyk has shared a classic 1999 trance Essential Mix, recorded at the legendary and once-thriving London venue, Turnmills, during one of The Gallery's events, ahead of his next date for the party, at Ministry of Sound on 16th March.

The trance hero has offered out the archived one-hour selection via Facebook. Those old enough to remember the pre-millennium years will feel plenty of nostalgic moods, while those who aren't will likely still recognise many of the anthems included in the set.

DJ Dan & Needle Damage's bouncy electro-tech beast, 'The Zipper Track', opens the scoring, with 'Cream' from Blank & Jones, the Southside Spinners classic, 'Luvstruck', and Gouryella 'Gouryella' making appearances. Not to mention PvD's own totems from that time, 'For An Angel' (E-Werk Club Mix) and 'Tell Me Why'.

van Dyk was DJ Mag USA's January cover star, giving us an interview in which he talks about his new album and new perspective on life following a near-fatal fall. Proof he remains top of his game almost 20 years after the 1999 Essential Mix was recorded.
